Tamarac Senior Center is a licensed adult day center for adults 60 and older in Tamarac, Florida. If you are researching daytime care for a parent, or looking into a senior day program for yourself, the best next step is a visit. You can call, email, or stop by during our hours. We are glad to answer questions about the daily schedule, meals, transportation, and Long Term Care coverage before you decide anything.
Visits are welcome, and we recommend one before enrolling. Call (954) 694-1100 or email admin@tamaracseniorcenter.com to set up a time. A short call is usually enough to book a tour and answer your first questions. If you are checking coverage, mention your Long Term Care or Medicaid plan and we can help you understand how it applies. Family members are welcome to come along, and the senior who would attend is welcome to visit too. There is no pressure to sign up on the day you tour.
A visit takes about 30 minutes to an hour. Someone from the center will walk you through the space, including the dining area and the rooms where daily activities take place. You will see how a typical day runs, from morning arrival through exercise, meals, social and health programs, games, and recreation. We will go over the hours, the meals served, how door to door transportation works, and what a member does over the course of a day. This is also the right time to ask about coverage, staffing, and anything specific to the person who would attend.
Free door to door transportation is included for members. We pick up from home in the morning and drive back in the afternoon, so a family member does not need to arrange rides or take time off to handle drop off and pickup. When you call, let us know the home address and we can confirm that it is within our service area and go over the pickup schedule.
